TEAMS FOR OCCIDENTAL SQUARE

Logistics and Set Up– This team will plan, implement and manage the set up for the event.  This includes gathering necessary equipment, like tables and canopies.  Items related to serving food will be handled by the food committee.

Trash Management and Clean Up-  This team will ensure that we leave Occidental Square in better shape than we found it.  They will help with tear down and packing up at the end of the event – involving as many volunteers as possible.

Food Management – This team will determine plans for food including; donations, drop-off, serving logistics, equipment, and supplies, as well as coordination and oversight of volunteers.

Food Servers - This team will provide a welcoming and friendly reception to people as they come through the serving line.  They will serve, heat and refill food as necessary.  Working in shifts may be necessary depending on the number of volunteers.  There will be some limited opportunities for children to assist.  Children are encouraged to work on the creation and distribution of candy bags on the Children's Team.

Prayer – While anyone is free to pray with people at the event, a team will be assigned with this as their primary responsibility.

Communion Servers – Serving communion in the park is a great opportunity to minister and share the gospel message.  The team will take responsibility for logistics and supplies for communion, and Bible distribution if applicable.

Music and Testimonies – This team will plan for and provide music and coordination of testimonies and sharing at the event.

Childrens Team- This team will coordinate and provide for a service activity for the children at the event; preparing for anything needed during the event and supervising and leading children at the event.  Parents will be required to ensure that their own children have adequate supervision during the event. Childcare will not be provided.

Greeting and Event Management – This team will ensure that individuals, including volunteers, at the event are welcomed, directed to the appropriate opportunities.  This team will also maintain order and security as necessary, including serving as liaison with any police presence at the park.

Publicity-  Design and implement communication with Missio Lux and other invited participants, as well as the target population of downtown Seattle.  In addition, this team will gather stories after the event for publication on the website and other venues.

Photography/Video Team- A few individuals are needed to document this event through taking and providing edited photos and video for the Missio Lux website and Monthly Celebration.
